What kind of computer do I need for HealthStar Manager?

You will need a PC computer (sorry, no Macs) running Windows 98/2000/XP, 64 MB RAM, 100MB hard disk space, available serial COM port (if using FAS-2), CD ROM. Speakers and color printer are recommended.

Do I need a special computer for HealthStar Manager or can I use one we already have?

You can use any PC computer for HealthStar Manager so long as it meets the minimum requirements discussed in the previous question.

Can we run other programs on the computer that has HealthStar Manager?

Yes. The computer is a general PC computer and you can install and run any program that runs on a PC computer.

Does the HealthStar Manager program work on a computer network?

Yes, the HealthStar Manager program will work on a local area network. The program must be installed on each computer, but a single database file can be created on a central server computer and shared by all computers.

How many computers can we install our HealthStar Manager program on to?

You need to purchase a license for every computer you want to install the HealthStar Manager program on to. For computers in the same school site, extra licenses are sold at a reduced cost.

What kind of handheld computer do I need for HealthStar Tracker?

You can run the HealthStar Tracker on any handheld computer that has the Palm operating system. These can be Palm handheld computers or they can be other handheld computers that run the Palm operating system.

Can two teachers share the same handheld computer?

No. The HealthStar Tracker program is designed for one teacher only. So each teacher should have their own handheld computer.
