To assess cardiovascular fitness, your student’s heart rate must be measured and recorded every minute during a graded exercise test. The MicroFit’s FAS-2 System offers two types of heart rate monitors, one designed to work with a bike test and one for a treadmill or bench stepping test. Both heart rate monitors come with a chest strap transmitter made of durable rubber for easy cleaning and long life.
The Monark heart rate receiver attaches to the bike handlebar stem and relays
heart rate and bike RPM information through the FAS-2 CTI unit to the HealthStar
Manager program. During a cardiovascular assessment, the program continually
displays
the students’s exercise heart rate and bike rpm.
The Clip-On heart rate receiver is used with a treadmill or step bench. This
pager-style monitor clips to the student’s waistband and relays heart rate information
through the FAS-2 CTI unit to the HeathStar Manager program.
Note: The heart rate monitor is not a component of the MicroFit FAS-2 System but may be purchased as an optional item.
