Skinfold measurement is fast, easy and accurate with the MicroFit FAS-2 interactive skinfold caliper. The HealthStar Manager software guides you through the entire process, and the skinfold data from the caliper is recorded automatically—eliminating the chance of typing errors. When you’re finished, the Fitness Profile program automatically calculates the body fat percentage.

The HealthStar Manager software uses the popular 2-site body fat protocol for students. For each measurement, the program displays a picture that shows you exactly where to take the skinfold measurement. During a measurement, the caliper reading is continually displayed on your computer screen. With the FAS-2 skinfold caliper you do not need to press any keys on the computer during the test. When you are ready to record a skinfold measurement, simply press the caliper thumb switch. Pressing the thumb switch again will command the software program to display the next skinfold site picture.

Note: the HealthStar Manager software will accept body fat measurements from other devices like a bio-impedance body fat analyzer. If you use an alternative body fat device, the FAS-2 caliper can still play a valuable role in your assessment program by monitoring changes in your student’s skinfold thickness.
