HealthStar Tracker software runs on a
handheld computer (PDA) and is used by
K-12 physical education teachers to
collect student data for the HealthStar
Manager program. This technology will
save you time by eliminating double data
entry—first on your clipboard and then
into the computer. With the HealthStar
Tacker software you record student data
one time in the handheld computer and
then electronically download the
information to the HealthStar Manager
program in less than a minute.
The HealthStar Tracker program requires no set up time at the start of each new school term. New students and class schedules are automatically loaded into the handheld computer. Using the HealthStar Tracker software you can collect most all the same fitness assessment and class management data found in the HealthStar Manager software. This includes all the fitness test data, rubric scores as well as notes on attendance, performance and attitude. You can also record exercise heart rate data as well as pedometer step data.
The HealthStar Tracker runs on any handheld
computer with the Palm operating system.
There are many of these devices on the
market today with a wide range of options.
Teachers can purchase a powerful entry level handheld for under $100 or spend a little more for a full-feature
handheld with built in camera and cellular phone.
HealthStar Tracker software is compatible with
Palm OS 3, 4 or 5. |
