MicroFit’s FAS-2 Interactive
System includes a heavy duty,
medical-grade scale that measures
both body weight and biceps
muscle strength. The scale’s
unique design features a wide
base and low profile that makes it
easy to use. The sturdy metal construction supports up to 450 pounds and can measure
biceps strength up to 250 pounds.
The scale’s precision sensor technology displays weight to 0.1
pound and is accurate to 0.1% of the measurement. The scale
is connected to the FAS-2 CTI unit and controlled by the Fitness
Profile program, which calibrates the scale at the beginning of
each body weight measurement session. During measurement,
body weight readings are continually displayed on-screen.
The FAS-2 scale measures isometric biceps strength or
maximum arm strength achieved with no elbow joint movement.
After you attach the strength bar to the scale using safety lock
clips, the client holds the bar with his or her elbows at a
90-degree angle. A spring-loaded clip on the strength strap
makes adjusting the bar height quick and easy. During
measurement, real-time strength readings are continually
displayed on-screen. The program calculates the final strength
score by averaging several hundred readings over a
3-second period.
